GoT a good thing going: Fan favourite Game of Thrones characters revealed!
Season six is already well under way and we've still got plenty of episodes of dragons, swords and bloodshed to look forward to! This season has already given us a glimpse at all the main characters and answered some of the questions posed at the end of season five, primarily the fate of one very beloved character.
With the added bonus of the show now being ahead of its source material, nobody knows exactly what lies ahead. Even though we've loved and lost many of our favourite characters, we wanted to find out who GoT fans will be getting behind this season. Casino Bonus Tips have conducted a survey of fans to find out which characters they are rooting for. We've grouped the top five below, along with why you should keep an eye on them in season six.
After the end of season five, GoT fans went in mourning. The death of Jon Snow shocked many viewers who had not read the books, and fan theories instantly started swirling around social media. If you haven't seen the second episode of season six 'Home' yet, avert your eyes, but Jon Snow lives and we can't wait to see how this will have an effect on his supporters and opposition inside the walls of castle black.
Tyrion has managed to make his way from pampered son of a lord, to Westeros fugitive. When Tyrion finally wound up in front of Daenerys last season, fans were overjoyed that two of their favourite characters were finally meeting face to face. It's now been established that Tyrion is a firm Daenerys supporter when it comes to the iron throne, and we're intrigued to see how he continues to grow and if any of those fan theories are actually true.
Daenerys has been a fan favourite since she walked out of the fire with her baby dragons at the end of season one. She has since established herself as one of the strongest female characters to grace our screens, not only does she take nothing from nobody, but her softer and empathetic heart also makes her easy to love and relate to. So far, Daenerys is top contender among fans to take the iron throne, but with her always being frustratingly far away from Westeros, it's hard to say whether she will ever get the chance.
Arya Stark has had a rebellious streak since the very beginning, wanting to join and fight like her brothers. Since season one she has been hunted, taken prisoner and travelled far away from Westeros to be taken under the wing of the mysterious Jaqen H'ghar. Now that she has lost her sight due to her disobedience, we're anxiously awaiting to see just what the faceless men have in store for her.
Sansa is a character you will either love or hate, she's been through a lot in six seasons and continues to have the worst luck of any character still alive today. There was a moment where we all thought she may step up and become the vengeful, woman scorned we all want her to be, but that quickly fizzled out when she was forced to marry the evil Ramsay Bolton. With the beginning of season six, she is on her way to Castle Black to seek help from her brother Jon. Actress Sophie Turner has said that Sansa finally becomes a stronger character and we are finally excited to see how she takes control.
All of our favourite characters have come such a long way and this season could see us seeing some major secrets revealed, at least we hope. There are still many questions that need to be answered, who is Jon Snow's mother? Will Daenerys ever make it to Westeros? Is Tyrion really a Lannister? We can't wait to see what season six has in store.
